Dwayne Douglas

Dwayne Doug Johnson (also known as The Rock) was born in Hayward on May 2, 1972. Ata Johnson (born Feagaimaleata Lenaya Maivia) as well as Rocky Johnson (born Wayde Bowles) are his parents. His father, who is from Amherst, Nova Scotia, Canada and is white (of Black Nova Scotian descent) His mother is from a Samoan background (her own father was Peter Fanene Maivia, also a professional wrestler). Dwayne grew up traveling often and spending time watching his dad perform in the wrestling arena. Dwayne first began playing football in high school. He was soon awarded a scholarship to Miami's University of Miami and had great success as a player. At the age of 15, Dwayne had a lower back injury which cost him a place within the NFL. He was offered a deal by the Canadian League offered him a contract for three years but he decided to return to wrestle and focus on his dream of becoming a professional. Dwayne Dwayne Dwayne Dwayne
